about Darrell
Darrell discovered the field of web design in 1998, while attending Texas A&M University for a degree in Architecture. He has received additional training in writing, editing, advertising, and graphic design as well as interior design. In his position at the Texas A&M Health Science Center, Darrell oversees the university’s presence and image online. He handles day-to-day oversight of the content for university-wide web pages, public relations, news (RSS) feeds, web publications and archives. He is responsible for landing pages to access TAMHSC websites as well as helping to assure compliance with relevant system, state, and federal regulations. In addition, Darrell coordinates the design, development, and implementation of the mobile web presence and social media channels for TAMHSC.
Darrell’s areas of expertise include web and graphic design, print design, design trends, search engine optimization (SEO), CSS, HTML, PHP, color theory, art direction and video editing. In his spare time, he works on freelance design projects and enjoys working on his home near historic downtown Bryan, Texas.
